This research is examining a body of evidence and its implications for science communication that shows Australia had a good public awareness of climate change science and its environmental/social implications in the late 1980s and that this understanding had dissipated by 2001. Data showing this from the documentary record and the social, political context to the communications underpin this study. Lessons for environmental science communication will be key outcomes. Her longitudinal study of climate change communication in Australia during the past 20 years has revealed a fascinating information curve.
