About
This project explores communication of knowledge between Indigenous knowledge holders and Western scientists where there is shared responsibility for environmental management. In the process of working together, lessons are being learnt and innovations are being developed in a diversity of communication processes and tools.
As a first step in inventorying these processes and tools, a range of questions are being addressed based on the existing descriptions in the literature:
- What is the nature and mechanics of a particular process or tool?
- In what context can it be appropriately applied?
- To what extent does it support two way knowledge transfer?
- How effective is it?
