Are you a science communicator ready to take your thinking to the strategic level? The ANU Strategies in Science Communication short course equips you with a solid foundation to develop a winning communication and engagement strategy to deliver measurable impact.

Throughout this course, you will gain confidence that your communication efforts are focussed on the right places and will deliver upon your or your organisation’s priorities. Further, we will help you develop a strategy that you can implement immediately, based on feedback during the course.

In this intensive five-day program, you'll:

  • Craft and refine a strategy that will address your challenges directly
  • Engage the most important people at the right moment to maximise impact
  • Prioritise and evaluate your communication activities
  • Demonstrate cost-effectiveness in your efforts
  • Focus on forming robust and long-lasting relationships with your most important stakeholders to deliver benefits for you and for them.

Led by Dr. Matthew Nurse, a communication expert with 20 years’ practical experience in leading science and public policy communication strategies, and facilitated by Australia's largest science communication research centre at ANU, this course will set you up for science communication success.

This course can be taken entirely in-person or online.

Note: This short course cannot be taken for credit towards an ANU degree.

We can also come to your organisation at a time that suits you. For more information, email scicomm.gradprog@anu.edu.au
