A comparison of the nature of science within five international curricula

This research project focuses on the portrayal of the nature of science (NOS) within international curricula.

It aims to determine:

  • How well the Australian curriculum, in particular the F-12 Science a Human Endeavour strand, aligns with the literature perspectives on the NOS elements which ought to be addressed within school science
  • How the Australian curriculum’s treatment of NOS elements compares with Finland, Singapore, the UK and the US.
