Rosie is a PhD candidate at the Australian National Centre for the Public Awareness of Science at The Australian National University. She completed a Bachelor of Communication and Media studies (Hons) at the University of Wollongong, with her Honours thesis titled ‘COVID-19 on Facebook: Government Messaging, Public Response and Citizen Grassroots Campaigns in Vietnam’. She is interested in studying how health and risk communication could be enhanced to help communities make informed choices, and how public understanding and engagement with government agencies should be facilitated in response to epidemics and public health crises.
