About

I am working and studying at the interface of science, society and policy, with experience in independent science policy advice, science communication and a history of leadership roles with community and student organisations.

I have an academic interest in the role of science in society, and how we discuss and imagine the future of that role. In 2021 I graduated with a Bachelor of Philosophy (Hons) degree from the Australian National University and received the University Medal in Science Communication for my Honours thesis titled 'To pivot a nation: a comparison of national pandemic response speeches during the initial spread of COVID-19'. In 2020 I published a first author paper on science and pseudo-science discussion within the troll tweets published by the Russian Internet Agency during the 2016 US Presidential Election.

I'm an avid reader and regularly review books on Goodreads and Instagram (@paperindy) where I also share my experience with bullet journaling and creative planning processes.
