Do you know where’s your energy comes from when you plug your smartphone in to charge, cook up some food on the stove or in the oven, or how your car gets moving? And how is that energy changing?

Join Dr Graham Walker to discover the science and technology behind Canberra’s transition to clean energy in this fun, interactive family science show. Using thrilling live science demonstrations, you will explore how Canberra’s electricity has moved from fossil fuels to renewable energies like wind and solar, pilot e-transport innovations like electric skateboards and experimental electric vehicles, learn about electric cars and transport emissions, and look at emerging technologies like fuel cells, carbon capture and hydrogen.

As Canberra is the first capital city outside Europe to have 100% renewably sourced electricity… come and celebrate the journey and where it will take us next!. Presented with the support from the ACT Government.

BOOKINGS: There are a total of seven shows so have your pick – tickets are FREE but bookings are essential, follow the links to reserve your place:

How do we imagine the future of research? What does the student of the future look like? How do we envision the future of our planet and our future society through the lens of different research fields? Join us and find out!

Visual art in public spaces – public art – evokes visceral, emotional responses and stimulates the imagination by appealing to the affective domain of learning. For example, science-related and environmental art can promote agency and inspire feelings of hope, responsibility and caring to create openness beyond the human world – to increase awareness and creativity to address complex problems.

Join Dr Anna-Sophie Jurgens, CPAS students and ANU researchers and academics from different disciplines in a public symposia. There are two opportunities to join the conversations, so be sure to check it out:
