About

Aiden Essery is a PhD candidate in science communication at the Australian National Centre for the Public Awareness of Science at The Australian National University in Canberra.

During his postgraduate education in economics at the University of Queensland Aiden consulted for the health industry where he developed his interest in advocacy. Following his Masters he went on to work for 4 years as the economic policy advisor at a peak trade association. Here he assisted with regulatory reforms of the industry, consolidated industry data, facilitated new export opportunities, as well as other areas of industry research.

Aiden has a keen interest in the interaction between advocacy groups and government and is looking to bring his experience with special interests into his research around climate change policy.
