About
Aarti Kapoor's journey in the marcomm world — spanning across two decades — has seen her dividing her time as a practitioner and a researcher at various points in her career across three continents. At one point in her life, she was a Legal Editor working in an international publishing house in Singapore. Later, she worked as an Editor in a trade publishing house in Santa Barbara (California, USA). Subsequently, a Graduate Fellowship Award led her to Phoenix (Arizona, USA) where she was a Teaching/Research Assistant at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Arizona State University. An avid Science enthusiast, it was around this time that she launched a nanotechnology website to follow the developments of this new scientific technology, and later moved to Brisbane (Queensland, Australia) where she has worked in various communications roles. Some of her articles have been published in Cosmos, Santa Barbara Independent (USA), the Australian Science Communicators newsletter and NanoScienceWorld (USA).
Aarti’s current research is focused on women’s health communication, specifically, the post-operative communication needs of hysterectomy patients in Australia.
