Dr Madeline Mitchell and Dr Merryn McKinnon examined the representations of female and male scientists in The New York Times, showing the progress in moving away from gender stereotyping. But there's still room for improvement, especially for profiles of scientists from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
