Most Australians believe science has made our lives healthier, easier and more comfortable, and that the benefits of science are greater than any harmful effects.
The Australian Beliefs and Attitudes Towards Science Survey – 2018 has been released, covering Australian attitudes towards science, scientists, science news and the future of science in Australia.
This survey was funded by the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science (DIIS), with data collection conducted by the Social Research Company. The research was designed, analysed and reported by Dr Rod Lamberts, Deputy Director, The Australian National Centre for the Public Awareness of Science (CPAS) at The Australian National University.
