Master of Science Communication Outreach graduate Joe Duggan has been announced as one of Australia's next Young Social Pioneers by the Foundation for Young Australians.

According to the FYA's website, the Pioneers will enter its "leading incubator program where they will sharpen their ideas, develop their business and leadership skills, and receive expert mentorship."

Joe and 59 other Pioneers were selected from more than 340 applicants for "each conceptualis[ing] innovative ways to tackle some of society’s biggest challenges ranging from minimising our environmental footprint to enhancing the wellbeing of our communities."

Joe's unique 'Is this how you feel?' campaign to raise emotion and awareness about climate change, created while he was a CPAS Masters student, went viral upon launch in 2014, cementing his reputation as an innovative and intelligent science communicator and sustainability campaigner.

He has since been involved in Science Circus Africa, another CPAS program run by Dr Graham Walker.

CPAS congratulates Joe on this latest recognition of his talent and potential.
