Vanessa de Kauwe, midterm PhD seminar; and Jeshka McConnell, honours proposal

Tonight PhD candidate Vanessa de Kauwe will discuss her research project which examines the use of informal science activities for the social development of young people with intellectual disabilities. As a midterm seminar, she will discuss her method and the results of her data collection.

And honours student Jeshka McConnell will present her proposed honours project examining parental values, preferences and issues with sex education in Australian schools. She hopes to research what and when parents of Australian schools students want their children to be taught at school, which topics they believe are inappropriate or better left to themselves and their reasoning and values which impact these preferences.
