Schools internship students and Multicultural discussion group

Date & time

5–6.30pm 2 June 2016

Event series

The seminar will be in two parts.

In the first part the undergraduate science communication students who recently completed their school internships through placements in Canberra high schools will share their experiences from the classroom and the staff room, and how they plan in the future to sustain their interests in communicating science in secondary schools.

This seminar will mark the culmination of the third successive year of the Science Communication School Internships. (For more information about the School Internships see here). Students and staff from the wider ANU community as well as school teachers from the participating schools are warmly invited to attend the seminar.

In the second part participants in the CPAS Multicultural Discussion Group, founded and led by Dr Sean Perera since 2009, will discuss the history of the group, how the group is an example of active dialogue, and future activities of the group. The session will open up membership of the group to later year students and staff who would like to get involved.
