Date & time

5–6.30pm 18 May 2017

Event series

Tonight PhD candidate Ruth O'Connor will present her final seminar on her doctoral research.

How institutionally based decision-makers engage with science has potentially far-reaching implications for society. Despite this, communication researchers have overlooked them as publics who engage with science. In this presentation PhD candidate Ruth O’Connor will share insights about how decision-makers engage with science, how they might differ from other publics, and what is valuable about these processes based on an Australian and a South African case study.
