CPAS graduate Dr Elizabeth Tynan has been awarded this year's CHASS Australia Book Prize for her book Atomic Thunder: The Maralinga Story.

The book, published last year, was based on Dr Tynan's PhD research conducted at CPAS.

CPAS congratulates Dr Tynan on this fantastic achievement.

"This is such wonderful news and the award so well deserved," said CPAS Director, Professor Joan Leach.

The CHASS Australia prizes were established in 2014 by the Council for the Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (CHASS) to honour distinguished achievements by Australians in those fields.
